anyone tried power commander with the auto tune sensor?
#1

i have swapped the fact exhaust for a moto gp headers no cat with small muffler ,, not much baffling.
i like the sound and performance of the system. after 4000 rpm the acceleration is very responsive, up till the 4000 it has a sort off lag or wind up. and i do like the snap crackle pop on deceleration from the pipe but im sure the mixture is off now im wondering if anyone has tried the power commander with autotune sensor and if it would make a big enough improvement.

the thread about flashing the ecu had me interested as well but sounds untested so far.

im not real concerned with defeating the speed limiter, im more concerned in getting there fast and getting the most out of her.

Ran it on a 09 fz1.... Worked great.

does your pipe have a 18mm thread for the wide band o2 sensor? The stock one is 12mm and the auto tune sensor was too big for my stock pipe.

Scott, the motogpwerks comes with the 12mm O2 adapter bung for our stock O2 sensor so unscrew that and you will have the 18mm O2 bung underenath it, its Pretty neat setup.

Thanks to all for the help with this. That gas line getting the tank off was bugger. But the Pcv and auto tuner are in.
The auto tuner changes -20% +20% after every ride. If I'm doing it right you have to accept the adjustments for them to be added to the map. I've had 5 rides yesterday. Most change I saw on ride was 12%. The popping on decel is gone and bike runs well.
Am gonna ride more today. Power commander had told me 8 rides should have the map dialed in.
Anyone have exp w the auto tuner?

Also considering denohs custom intake.

In the software you can change the % of trim that the auto tune will do during your ride. After a few trim accepts, at least on my old fz1, I reduced the 20% down to 5% because when holding a constant highway speed, it seemed to be "searching" too much and every few miles would skip a beat as if it were mometarily too lean. The 5% trim limit stopped that from happening.

I know this is a really old post, and the OP hasn't been logged in for years- but I just wanted to say that his feeling of bog at <4k could simply be because of velocity loss in the exhaust.

The main pipe off the collector on that header looks huge in that picture. Like enough to support a car engine's flow. I'm going to go google to see if I can find out the size since I am curious, but I'd guess it is 2 inch..
