Custom paint and body work pricing

Those of you who have had custom paint and body work done on your CB by quality professionals, what kinds of costs did you encounter? Gas tank paint jobs, side cover paint, ect. This is on my agenda, so I need to get a baseline for what's fair before going into it.

I didn't have any custom paint done on my CB but I did have a professional quote a price of $275 to paint my side covers to match the Candy Glory Red gas tank.

Some years ago I was looking for a custom paint job for a 94 CB 1000 and going on line I did find one near Charleston but a little later found one close by to me in Mills River. It is much easier to find someone local to discuss things and keep your eye on the progress. It also can save a lot of shipping cost. Price is not the only thing , quality is even more important. Look at other BIKE parts they have painted.

I've been quoted around £650 to have the tank and side panels custom painted. So in pre Brexit money that was probably about $900-1000
