and to change one is grounded at the tank the other at the fuse

Aaaawwwww mmmmaaaaannnnn! Now I'm gonna have to get me some of those lights after I get a set of engine case guards.
I totally forgot about the low amp draw of the LED's. Palm to the forehead moment there!

Just extend the wires, that's no problem. I have a set of Clearwater Glenda's mounted to my SW-Motech bars. I posted a How-To with pics a while ago:

Oh, also, the rectifier on the CB1100 delivers very close to 12v, so do your calculations with 12v, not 13+. :-)
