But once I took it out my wrist were extremely uncomfortable... Immediately. I tried relaxing them, loosing my grip, taking pressure off my arms, nothing helped.

When I returned to the dealership, I parked it next to my current ride to try to evaluate what was going wrong... I noticed that on my bike the top of my hand ran parallel with my forearm, with no bent in the wrist. On the CB 1100 my wrist were turned, knuckles to the sky. This seemed to be putting a lot of pressure on my outer wrists. I also noticed that the grips on my current bike (VTX 1300C) were much thicker in diameter than those on the CB 1100.

I'm 6'3, 225 lbs with long arms. Like a monkey Smile

This was on Weds... I can still feel an ache in my wrists after a 15-20 minute ride. I have no history of wrist pain or injuries.

I was thinking that pushing the bars forward might correct the situation... But I am not sure. The bars didn't really feel too low, but the bend in my wrist seemed to indicate that they were too close.

Has anyone had similar experiences on the CB 1100? Is this correctable? Am I just too tall for it?

I really like the bike and I had every intention of buying it. I will bad if I don't buy it after they let me ride it... I'm sure they would readjust the bars and let me try it again... But I wanted to ask your opinions first.

The grips are an easy fix. They make high density foam grip covers that slide over the existing grips. They damp out vibration as well as making the grips substantially fatter. I used Grab-On grip covers and there's also a brand called Grip Puppies.

Thanks. That might help as well.
After reading that thread my knuckles were definitely twisted up too high while the levers felt too low. I had to almost reach down for them. I think a simple adjustment may be all that was needed. I'm not sure if the bar height needed adjustment or not at this point. I'll be going back at the end of this week. Thank you!
