Anyone living in Long Beach CA area willing to ride my CB to test it for me?

Hey, so I have a vibration issue. I am not sure if it is my bike or my tires or what. If someone lives in the area, could we meet up and would you test out my bike?

Not too far away, but wouldn't be able to get up to LB for a few weeks. Did you change something on the bike recently?

Loosenoodle you can try and isolate the vibration as follows;

Get the bike onto the centerstand and start the engine, in neutral slowly increase the rev's to 4000 and put your lefthand on the tank or sit on the bike and feel any vibration you are mentioning.

If nothing stands out stand beside the bike on the centerstand and move through to third gear and slowly increase the rev's to 60 mph or 100km on the speedo, tyres usually "resonate" if they are out of balance around 50 mph so look for vibration around that speed, also watch the tire for excentricity ( wobble ).

If that also produces no vibrations there is only the front tire left to have a look at, there are only two possibilities left;
1 excentricity and 2 out of balance ( weights ).

As a last point the rear wheel may be out of alignment and point sideways instead of in line with the front wheel, normally that produces no vibrations but aggrevate the sideways instability of the bike when riding over road seems in the surface along the lanes.
