I used the aux supply in the left hand side panel to trigger a relay for my additional lights. They are small current draw and I could of gone direct connect but decided a single relay was very cheap and gave me flexibility for stronger draw aux lights in future. The relay was for peanuts so I thought it was worth it.

I have an SAE connector and battery monitor on mine and can pull that and run a GPS or phone on it.
For a battery tender most of us have added the plug directly to the battery.
Comes in handy especially when I need the GPS and wasn't expecting it
