Joola - thanks for posting the seat review.
Is the grab rail the one sold by Webike, made by Hurricane, part no. HA6489C?
If not, I would appreciate a link to where you acquired it.
Thanks, John

Jeezalou, I did not even notice the grab rail. Had to back and look. Cool. Thanks for pointing it out.

The grab rail is not the Hurricane on webike. This is the genuine Honda accessory tandem grip. I grabbed the part number from the scan of the Japanese CB1100 catalogue that was posted in another thread and asked Takashi at samurider if he could get it for me. He could, and I had it 7 days after sending payment. Part number: OSK-ZX-MGC09
Joola - thanks a lot for the part number - it's now on my list of must have accessories.

An update on the tall seat. My wife joined me for a 90 minute non-stop ride this afternoon. Thirty minutes into the ride I could tell she liked it. That's the point when she typically starts to squirm and shift on the stock seat.
On the K&H, she didn't budge the whole time. When we got home, she confirmed the liked the wider perch and increased leg room. She did say her butt was starting to get slightly numb, but less than it would have been on the stock seat, and she wasn't a bit sore.
So stock seat is not bad, but K&H - although firmer - provides noticably better comfort. At least that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.
Oh, and the seat handled a cleaning just fine as expected.
Those seats are sweet, are they both the TALL versions? CB4ME, what code is the red piping? Is it close to the tank color? How hard were they to order? Any lanuguage barrier issues?
Damn. This is going to cost me. I have a 36" inseam, a taller seat would be nice. this one here is a real looker to boot.

Both seats on this thread are TALL seats. They are many others styles and sizes.
The red piping is coded "red piping"

Piping is not a big "presence" like a fairing or side covers where very close color match is important, but I think the piping matches very well.
Check out all of the K&H seats at the K&H website:

A good place to buy K&H seats for the CB1100 is at [url=http://www.samurider.com/?cat=98]Samurider.
One of the best things about Samurider is the owner Takashi. I don't know where he mastered English, but he is very clear, concise and easy to understand, not to mention extremely responsive (just don't forget the time difference when e-mailing back and forth).
Samurider has a decent selection of K&H seats. Simply find the ones you like and hit the inquiry button. Tell him what options you like. He can even send a picture of the seats before you place an order if you ask.
Takashi will e-mail you a quote with price and shipping. If you are happy just reply and you'll get an e-mail with a Pay-Pal link all filled out.
I've ordered 3 or 4 items from Samurider. He will give you a discount on shipping, but if you plan to spend more than around $500 you may save some money going with Webike because they have Free Shipping when you spend big. Just be aware you are not dealing with someone who knows English and who is willing to go the extra mile to make you a staisfied customer. And in the case of K&H seats Webike currently doesn't offer any.
Good luck.
CB4ME,
Thanks for the detailed reply. Good to know the red is close. Looks like I'll be e-mailing Takashi today. The seat looks amazing.
I think I am going to ask if I could pay extra for K&H to leave the brass tag off of the back, or if not, ask if they have silver tag instead.
HondaJon: Let us know if they can leave off the back tag. IMO it would better to have the Honda logo on the seat with a simple easy to find template and paint. Thanks!
