That's a great video, concise and to the point. Usually 10-14% of the trailer weight is the recommended tongue weight.

Useful demonstration.

I guess the guy that built these knew what he was doing. We hauled this with our Goldwing up and down the hills of Vermont and New Hampshire without any problems.

We camped in Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in Laconia. Good thing we had the tent trailer. Although it was the Father's Day Weekend in late June, the temperature dropped to 37F. To make it worse a fog rolled down from the hills around the camp ground. Everybody but us had to sit by a campfire all night to keep from freezing.

good night I can't imagine towing that with a motorcycle lol

As I remember that tent trailer weighed about 400 lbs. The 1982 Honda Aspencade had no problems towing it. The dining area was big enough to garage my Aspencade. It was the only dry motorcycle after that cold wet night

The following year Honda changed the gear ratios of the Aspencade to improve gas mileage. One of my riding buddies bought one and was annoyed because he always had to shift back into fifth gear climbing those hills even though he was NOT towing anything.

Is it just me or has Stichill's link stopped working?

[Bazbro_imp]

Me too. "Nothing found". So it's not just you they're picking on!!

[Cormanus]

Darn! I was hoping to use it as an argument to increase my medication.

[Bazbro_imp]

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're NOT out to get you!!

Nice...but will it pull my boat? Backing down the ramp would be an issue I suppose.

I'm trying to think of a practical application for this...invention.

lol how crazy is that?

[Nortoon_imp]

There are cars with smaller engines than the 6-cylinder 1800cc motor in that Goldwing.

[GoldOxide_imp]

Ha! Now you can take your car with you on those overnight riding excursions. Use the car [trunk] to store all your needs and goodies.

Not sure why the trailer towing dynamics video link went Kaputt. Here's another link.
