Slip on exhaust

pull the end cap off. drill about 8 1/4" holes. replace end cap. nice deep rumble.

I tried that; pretty much no effect at all. Six 3/8" holes. Gonna enlarge to 1/2"

Other than the subtly improved sound of the Staintune, for me it is also the best looking of the slip ons. It foreshadows the pipes on the 2017 models. However were I to spend my hard-earned on a new exhaust, I think I’d want to go with a 4 into 4.

Different years have different internals, but if they are both the same year there should be similar results

Yup. I drilled several 5/8" holes in the end plate, cut off the snooter pipe, painted the inside end plate with flat black heat paint, and used black high heat RTV sealant when l put the end cap back on. Results are better throttle responce with a nice deep rumble but not too loud. Price was right.

Well, here's a couple pics of the Yosh on a CB. Deeper rumble for sure unless you screw in the removable baffle/silencer. That quiets it down to about stock.

Just got my Yosh RS3. The manual says it needs repacking yearly.
Do everyone do that for your slip-on exhaust?

Also, do aftermarket slip on cans make much difference to the sound? I know a full system with the cat removed would be the best option but I'm on a budget!
