"Living next door to Alice " is a great song from Smokie , a British group from the seventies. That is as far as I get to Alice.

“Living Next Door to Alice” is right up there on the list of the worst songs ever committed to vinyl.

but you can get anything you want at Alice's restaurant

Well, this thread took a hard left turn!:banana:
I haven't heard "Next door to Alice" since it came out. I can't imagine why...

Don't mess around with this thread....or as Lord Popgun said: One really doesn’t want to incur its [Ring] wrath......it would be bad for everyone and we cannot risk such storm..:P
:)

Inhousebob , thanks for posting that video ! Cormanus : do you really dislike this song ? I love it and now at nearly seventy years old my hair is longer than the guy's in Smokie , it is just white now !

LOL I used to have longer hair than him too..but that was in the 70's. Now most of my hair is gone and what's left is white and on my face.

Are you selling them? Ill take a Large if your posting to Oz...=]
It was a one-off but if you 'stralians want to do a rally, I'll be happy to do up something fun and deliver them in person. I kinda owe Cormanus and Pterodactyl something anyhow
I'm up for another one. At the moment, we're not very welcome of international visitors and we've even locked the Victorians in, meaning noroomtomove and Aussieflyer couldn't join us.

Once this nonsense is over, I'll give it some thought.

Houtman, what can I say? It's right up there with Tell Laura I love her, although this version by Billy Connolly is worth a listen,

Other favourites include I'm a Mummy.

Cormanus : I do like the song "Tell Laura I love her " Ricky Valence just died a short while ago. He made a living of that song for the rest of his life.

One good pop song will do it. I'm sorry to hear about Ricky.
