The explanation I've heard, and maybe it's true, is that the NC700 series just isn't selling well in the US. If that's true, then maybe it isn't worth the cost of getting the NC750 motor EPA and CA-CARB certified.. makes sense.

Jul 28, 2015 #24 Lord Popgun Road warrior Doc, it does--in Japan. You can even get it in Kawasaki green. Maybe put some Kawasaki stickers on it and aggravate Honda, AND Kawasaki!
