A question about handlebars.

I’m going to replace my bars with a set from Renthal. My question is are these aftermarket bars narrower than the stock OEM bars and can the bar ends be removed without affecting the bar weights? Its so cramped in my garage with my car in there a narrow handlebar would really help. I’m looking at a low handlebar with a 7/8 OD.

The bar ends come off easily without messing with the weight in the bar. Just remove the screw and the bar end comes off in your hand.

Others will have to chime in about after market bar width, etc.

If you go with a new Renthal bar, or any other aftermarket bar for that matter, you might want to check out this thread: Gap in throttle housing is driving me crazy! . The holes in aftermarket bars for the switch housing locating pins may ( or may not ) be slightly off position, or slightly too small to fit the pins. Probably easy to correct if necessary, but just something to be aware of.

I know I will have to drill a new hole for the locating pins,no big deal.
