(HELP) Puig 0869N Black Naked Universal Windshield question..

I ordered this, and it arrived today.. It looks like it is going to be almost vertical instead of swept back.. Is that normal fitment, or is this the wrong screen?
also there is a third, slightly longer mounting screw shown in the installation guide that there is no receiving hole for on my CB..

You probably received a generic or universal fit kit of various bolts, washers, nuts, etc. As I remember, the 2 small holes on the bracket are to mount the shield to the bracket with real short bolts. The large hole (below the 2 small ones) mounts to your headlight bolts.

i think that's the same screen i have. There should be mounting brackets to angle it, but it creates a gap over the headlight.. I got mine cheap off amazon as a left over, so I wasn't too upset (just needed one fast for the rally). I found that, while a bit more vertical it does a good job.

I got mine from Amazon yesterday and did some fitting. The only thing that I found a little disconcerting was that it was right up against my instruments. So, I'll be doing a little bit of padding on the backside of the shield to protect them from any issues.

It does seem to sit fairly vertically, but I think that I like that look on the bike. It's like a mini-wind screen and I don't care for full sized screens on naked bikes.

I'll be creating a quick release set-up for mine this fall because there are times when I just don't want a screen and taking everything loose is a waste of time.

I just got mine this week also from Amazon with free shipping. It looks fairly decent on an all black 2014 (standard) CB1100. However, I'm sure the actual wind protection will be minimal, but I got it mainly to improve the aerodynamics slightly and looks of the bike at an AMAZING price.

I haven't installed it yet, but looks like it will be a nice tight fit with minimal installation difficulty. The only confusing factor is whether to insert the headlight bolts' bracket on the inside or outside of the headlight mounting bracket ears. I think it should go on the inside so the shield's brackets are not (as) visible on the sides of the headlight.

hmmm.. mine came with 2 small foam pads that had sticky stuff on one side... it was peal and put em between the instruments and shield

In the end I got it mounted and it it's fine, in fact it is sort of awesome. It makes a huge difference on the road.. I'll post pics of it mounted as soon as I can..

Same here, although I put Puig's left and right side mounting brackets under the bolts on the "outside" of the headlight bucket ears. I don't think its possible to go the other way. Those brackets are chrome plated, so they look alright in this position and easier to make adjustments to the "tilt angle" of the screen.

Yeah, mine had those too, but I thought that the felt a little thick. Was going to see about a slightly different arrangement, but I found that those pads slid into place pretty well when mounted.
