Since living in the USA from 1985 onwards I have been getting Classic Bike, Classic Mechanics , Classic Racer and The Classic Motor Cycle thru the Wisconsin based distributor Motorsport Publications . After not getting the magazines over the last few months I now learned that they no longer distribute the above magazines from the publishers in England . Today I subscribed to all of them directly from the UK and ordered some of the back issues I did not receive. The motor cycle (and others) magazines got really hit hard with the Covid problems .

Having worked in the print magazine industry for years, it's hard to see. Out of the several car and motorcycle magazines I have subscribed to, the only one surviving in print form is Hemmings Classic Car. I used to work for the mighty Petersen Publishing, the largest specialty publisher in the U.S. Currently, the only titles currently surviving in print are Motor Trend, Hot Rod and 4Wheel & Off Road, and those are slated to be killed off at the end of this year.

A friend of mine was using the Wisconsin based distributor and started having problems with them several years back and gave up. I'm sure the Covid related importing issues have compounded things even more.
I just received the last print copy of Cycle World as they are going digital only as others have. Great issue with two features from Peter Egan so quite a send off. Rider seems to be getting back on track as they are sending print copies again (hopefully it will last). Motorcycle Classics and Roadrunner seem to have not missed a beat however.
Times are changing...that's for certain.

Hey Houtman, have you had a look at ‘Bikes Unlimited’? It’s an app, so digital only, but you can get Classic Bike, Practical Sportsbike and a few other titles on there.

I called the UK and I am now getting Classic Bike , Classic Racer and Classic Mechanics direct from England instead of going thru the USA based agent . As I took it for two years the price is not that bad. I only read the "proper " magazines and do not like digital copies.
