After selling my CB1100 DLX about 6 years ago due to health issues, I am considering finding another one, or better yet a CB1100 EX in excellent condition.
I spotted on Cycle Trader the same person is selling both a DLX and an EX, both have under 500 miles on them.
I inquired and only received a brief response and no answer to my questions.
Is the owner by chance a member of this group?
Any thoughts or reactions from others? Almost seems too good to be true, and strange that someone would own both . . .
Thanks for your thoughts!

Our member , silent for a longer while, Chuckk will be selling his 2017EX.
Don’t know anything about the mileage…
Would you be interested in it, send him email, not pm.
Good luck with your choice and purchase!!
Ops, just noticed, you are from New Jersey, and he is ft California.. way to go..

I wouldn't be too concerned the same owner is selling 2 bikes. Several other members have/had more than one CB1100 at the same time. That seller's got a huge garage, with some other toys. If I had the space and money, I'd do the same. Those models normally command a premium over the 4-into-1 models, but $12k is a lot.

I think the RETAIL price of my 2013 was $10,499. I bought it in 2016 for around mid/upper $8Kish with tax if I remember right…but not sure
I know the DLX and EX RETAIL price was higher than the 2013’s.
So. For either of those models the price is not stratospheric if you HAVE to have one. They’re not making them anymore so a low miles well kept one will command a premium.
It bears repeating as well. Taken care of with routine maintenance these bikes are some of the most reliable out there. If you’re in your 40’s this may be the last bike you would ever need to buy from a longevity perspective.

BigHonda14, you could check out these listings on the other forum:

For what it's worth, whether or not a price is reasonable is an individual thing. Many may think $12,000 is a crazy price. But, if it's for a rare model, it's in good condition, you really, really want it, and there aren't any others of the same model around, it may well be worth it to you. Don't worry about what anyone else thinks.

That one belongs/belonged to Haystack, a member on the old forum.
