My "14" recently started to flexuate idling from the normal 1000RPM to 1200-1400. It's really quite annoying. It has clean oil and the appropriate level. Bike has 3,700 miles. Can anyone advise if this is common or has knowledge on how to correct the problem? Can it be temperature related?

Hi Macenthor,
There are 3 threads running at the mo, all crowing over but essentially covering the same topic and what your experiencing.
Three's too many as it is, so I won't start a new one here, have a look halfway down the list:
"Guhl Motors...."
"Hunting RPM"
"Idle..."
All next to each other.
It's a 'known problem' without a known cause unfortunately. Some people have had success by replacing the whole injector assembly, I think, and others have had up dated maps loaded onto the ECU. We're having a bit of trouble locating that ECU update in some regions but there are several people working on it, myself included.
Anyway, have a look at the threads below...

Hi Macenthor, it looks like Coremanus already put the two main threads in his reply. Also reference this thread below, for high idle issues.

Feel free to also PM me, as I have had these issues before and had my IACV motor replaced (so far, so good).
