Good days everyone, I haven't ride my bike for sometimes and some hornet had make a home on these small holes beside the injectors. I had clean up the mess and spray lots of silicon spray into these holes to wash out the dirt and mess. Some excess silicon spray soon disappear into these holes. Anyone know what's the function of these holes and where could the liquid gone to??

On my 2013 it has a hose on it like the one next to it in your picture. What year bike do you have? Could be different on different model years, or countries.

Mine's too a 2013, got it used from Japan. There's 4 such holes, each beside one of the injectors without any hose connected to it. Any ideas if its ok to plug it close with something?

My 2014 U.S.A. model has the rubber hoses connected. Try to insert a wire into these holes to determine if they are actual openings to the inside of the throttle body. I guess that they have something to do with emissions, and in some countries they are not required. After the castings were created, the final machining operation to open the hole to connect the rubber tube may not have been performed for countries with different emission standards.

I took another look into these holes under bright sun today.Seems like there's some kind of ball bearing inside blocking the holes. So maybe its not used in Japan model.

My 2011 looks the same as yours zirconxi. The pattern is repeated on the adjacent pipe — that is, there's a pipe running up on the right hand side of the bike (facing forward) and a hole on the left.
