Set your DVR's or heat up a pot of black coffee.

Ch 219 Fox Sports 1 Sunday morning 1 a.m. ( just after midnight on Saturday)

Lorenzo seems to be on fire in free practice.

Marquez pulls off a fantastic lap and takes pole position for tomorrow. All good here for your intrepid reporters at Phillip Island. It's tough.

This is from yesterday's (Friday's) practice.

From your Phillip Island correspondents.

Here at PI it's warming up. The loud cover's blowing away and the final warm ups are complete. The drivers have done their parade lap and Moto3 is 20 minutes or so away. MotoGP just over 3 hours.

Your correspondents have made a manful effort to put aside last night's vicissitudes and struggle to Lukey Heights to watch the action. Pterodactyl is the one with the baseball cap and scarf on his head.

Sadly no pictures today: got the dreaded "battery exhausted" message last night and my tent doesn't have a charger. Sad

In the interests of not spoiling anyone's fun, there'll be no further reporting today. Detailed reports from me will have to wait too, I'm afraid, as I've a bit more time away.

The view from Lukey Heights
Maybe one little report. Don't miss Moto3. It's a beauty.

It was pretty amazing. As it turned out we witnessed a couple of offs. No spoiler, but it's well worth watching. Feel privileged to have attended Rossi's 250th MotoGP start.

A couple of not brilliant phone photos.

A 1912 (I think) Indian doing a lap to mark 100 years of Australian Moto GPs.

I changed the title so we could talk about it.

What a strange race with 9 crashes. Like Nascar lol. Marquez looked good until....the kid was flying

Rossi looked excellent and showed what a champion he is.

I'm beginning to wonder about Lorenzo

Dani...what a shame. Looks like 4th in the Championship this year is the best you can do.

Poor Crutchlow..last lap..arrgghhh

Poor Espargaro brothers...felt sorry for them
