Just completed the 32k service and what do you know? Another flat! For those following along that’s 3 flat rear tires in a year. Or a flat every 3,800 miles.
Pretty annoyed at the moment. Probably going to have to buy a new, non-PR3 rear tire. I was hoping to hold of on that until next spring.

Three nails in one tire would disqualify it from a safety/road worthy point of view.
Sorry to hear....carry tire repair kit with you......to avoid recurring.

Second and Third were of unknown origins.

First was ridden patched for about 1000 miles before replacement. Second was replaced without patching. Third is plugged, but is leaking slowly - May try to patch from inside to get more miles from it. Carrying a repair kit to prevent flats is like carrying an umbrella to prevent rain, then? LOL

This is funny thou...I had the '87 Honda Accord with pop up head lamps that had a sealed Lo/Hi beam unit and used to burn out one side every few months for no reason.
After 4-5 units being burnt, I decided to carry one spare in my trunk....problem solved, never burn again and the spare one has never been needed. Identical issue with my father's stop light bulb... Try it to see what happens. Next time, when going for a 1-2 day trip, I am going to take a small-folding umbrella...and I am not superstitious...

LOL Opted for the internal patch/plug solution. I hope that this will get me to the end of the riding season and to the point where I can replace both front and rear at the same time (although the front will be a PR3 and the rear will probably be a Pirelli). fingers crossed.
