I've got the squeaky-squack front brakes that seems to plague the '17ex. Started at around 700 miles and it's been consistent since then. A couple of members here have reported no luck with grease on back of pads, but I'd like to give it a try. Is it simply a matter of removing pads, spraying the CRC Disc Brake Quiet on the back and re-inserting them?

What M1954 meant was that every 2-year interval or so, he replaces brake fluid, and from time to time, it may overlap with brake service as well
Sounds logic to me.
Are you two running milk in your brake lines...

I've never had to replace my brake fluid. Not saying it shouldn't.
I think longest was seven years. Actually, 10+.

I never replaced spark plugs on any Honda two-wheeled vehicle - ever.
As for other makes, not so lucky.

A friend of mine with a W 800 uses the 2% milk in his brake system , the whole milk had too many calories and the bike became too heavy.....

I think I may have topped up a brake reservoir twice in 40 years. That may have been 30 years ago.
