Maybe someone can shed some light in to the PCV issue as well!

Scene 01:
PCV plugged in as per the instructions on the PCV manual on to a STOCK BIKE (the 4-4 I planned is not happening for a while). Cold engine start. RPM needle steady-ish around 1500 for good 30 sec. Then exhaust tone changes that of a 3cyl with occasional knocking sound. Smells like unburned fuel. RPM needle dances up an down between 1300 to 1500. With a good 5 min and bike warmed up. Needle steady at 1000-1100. Engine runs smooth. ZERO throttle all the way through.

Scene 02.
PCV unplugged. ALL back to normal.

Background:
Engine turning off when throttle opens from zero. I almost dropped the bike at a traffic light. TPS is calibrated properly.

What I did so far:
Contacted Dynojet. Mr. Chris Kelly @ dynojet was extremely helpful (some of you may know him. I have seen his name mentioned in this forum). Changed firmware to an older version (1.8.13) from 1.13.1. and another plug called "Off_Edge_Toggle_Disable.pvu" This seems to have fixed the engine stalling. But not the cold engine start issue is persisting!

What's happening now?
Dynojet instructed to return the item for testing last year. It didn't happen as life intervened and bike become less important for a while. Now its almost out of warranty (1 May 2016). So I am trying to gather common wisdom and fix it myself, if possible.

The PCV is basically a grey import from Motomummy to Australia. Back and forth postage is almost half the price of the unit.

Cheers.

Seems you've asked anyway. Sorry I can't help further with the issue. Good luck sorting it.

Thanks mate. I did ask Dynojet (I updated the original firmware to 1.13.1; Dynojet changed it to 1.8.13 with remote access through my PC, I think. I have a few different versions of the firmwares sourced from the internet. Now trying to figure out the version they ship it with - to start from scratch.

Sorry, I misread their website on mobile before with my last reply. Below is from my PCV. I took it from the box, put it on the bike, loaded a map, and never touched it again -- so it should be as shipped. I couldn't see a way to backup, or pull the original firmware to the pc, but I'm sure you can find a download out there somewhere.

Kmoney, You are a champion. Saved my day. Thanks heaps for doing that for me.

Now I have a starting point. If something works out I will share the story to add to the "wisdom pool."

Cheers.

P.S. I do have a downloaded copy of the version 1.9.0. Hooray!

Word to the wise. If you're entering PCV maps manually, always always always check for typos. You don't want to try to run your fuel to 122% at 4500 RPM, 80% throttle. Trust me....
