Oh sorry, as this is a US based forum, I thought it is clear that I mean 3.85 litre gallon.
The avg. fuel consumption in "European notation" is 5.07 L/100 km.

your windshield is humongous, does it block all the wind and no noise?
BTW, I always use 91, it is noticeable increase in HP, the bike runs better.

Yes it blocks all the wind and there is no noise. It makes for a very pleasant ride even in cold weather.

Pathetic ... really no excuse. Then the Suzuki M109 is just as bad.
Both Bikes { Cb 1100 and M109 } have really juvenile gas gauges.
Not the actual display ... just the way they gauge actual fuel in the tank.
I'm not sure which is more juvenile. The M109 or the new CB 1100.
They both go into red light empty mode halfway thru the tank.
But the M109 takes the cake.To check the oil on the Suzuki cruiser
which is a fantastic bike, don't get me wrong, is this.
Start the bike for 15 minutes and then rest for 5 minutes.Give me a break.
How dumbfounded.I'm not gonna run a bike at idle for 15 minutes.
Just to check the oil.I finally figgered out an alternative.Start the bike let it
run a minute or so to idle down { The CB 1100 won't idle down for at least
3 minutes } and then take out for a short ride of about 10 minutes.
The enemy of any engine is heat.Letting a bike just sit and idle for
15 minutes can be harmful. No matter water-cooled or not.Especially in the
middle of summer.
Live and learn !
