I should reach 20,000 miles sooner than later. I'm a tad over 15,400 right now and I just started dating someone that is 115 miles from me soo.....
Let me put it this way....last Sunday I put close to 300 miles on mine (sorry Tortuga ) I need to look into a corbin seat me thinks. I was just a little saddle sore at the end of the day.

Congrats sanoke, awesome report, and great news about the bike. Am astonished you haven't had to adjust your chain yet.

I put 7000 miles on my 13 before trading it in, same experience as yours except had to adjust my chain once or twice. You are getting better mileage that me, on my 13 I was in the mid 50s. On my 14 it only 50 on the first 2 tanks. Shpuld get better as it breaks in.

About to hit 500 miles on my 14, will do my 600 mile service this weekend.

Several years ago, I found that if I put a dab of Honda Moly 60 spline paste on the sides of the teeth on the rear sprocket, I don't have to adjust the chain between tire changes. I just do that when the teeth get shiney, probably every 500 miles or so. Of course, once the internal roller grease gives out, I have to change the chain. Ususally get about 20,000 miles on a chain.

See his gas mileage ferret, he rides it real easy. No stretch and high gas mileage. Wish I could control my right wrist and be so gentle. Oh wait no I don't!

Actually, a good 10-15 miles of my daily 100 mile ride are at 80mph but usually, I'm running around 50-55mph. I think that the cut down Plexi-Fairing windshield I have makes a big differance. We'll see what happens when I put my summer windshield on.

The windscreen size and type can make a difference as to mileage. When I had my ST1300 you could watch the mileage figure go down as you raised the electric windscreen. As much as 5 mpg.

Sanoke, 60 MPG is incredible, I haven't yet achieved this number, 55 MPG is the max I can manage. I have almost 10K just find out, it is how much I ride my previous 4 bikes!!

I can say my bike is fully broken in, engine is smoother than it was at 5K. I love riding it at low speed on empty road, tires stick like glue, suspension is very good, the bike fits me like glove. I like almost everything about this bike, it is a keeper.
