As to the photo on the Canadian Honda site, it is not accurate as it does not show the ABS which we get in Canada. I was sure there was some disclaimer that the photo was of a Euro-Spec version. Hopefully I have not provided disinformation about the tank size. Since I have yet to pick up my bike I cannot confirm the size; I'm just going on what the sales manager told me based on his ownership of the 2013 vs the 2014.

The owners manual for my Canadian 2014 CB1100A says the fuel tank capacities are:
CB1100A 3.86 US gal (14.6 liters) CB1100SA 4.62 US gal (17.5 liters)

I'm not sure. I have only really checked out the deluxe. But the seat should fit any cb1100 the tank bolt on the rear of all cb 13 14 and deluxe has to be in the same spot if not it would have to be a different frame. The bigger tank is like ferret said bigger hump (taller) not longer. Maybe a tad wider I'm not sure but to get .7 tenths of fuel in a tank the width. & height wound not have to be much. I would think a blue tank and seat from a canada model would fit on my USA deluxe model. Agin not sure. But I just don't see honda making different frames for the same year model bike

It wouldn't seem to make a lot of economical sense for the sake of a little more fuel. Enlarge the gas tank a little higher/wider and it's done. |
