I generally don't write recommendations but today am making an exception. I ordered a Dart Flyscreen for the CB. Prompt delivery with good communication. Good quality product. So I was a happy camper. No big deal, but there is more to come.
My mate and I fitted the screen and he took my CB for a test ride (I am grounded for a short while). All good, the screen worked as expected however over rough surfaces the brackets made contact with the instrument cluster producing an annoying rattle. We fixed that by increasing clearance between the bracket elbows and the cluster. This was done by elongating the front mounting holes. I was, once again, a happy camper.
I sent an email to Steve at Dart outlining the issue but making it clear this was purely feedback and in no way a request for any further action on his part. His reply was prompt and direct. He did enquire whether I had chrome surrounds fitted (I don't) but saying a redesign was in progress and that I would receive a new set of brackets. I suspect that the design clearance (approx 5mm) was adequate for a new bike but mine has 29000kms on the clock and has run over a good deal of corrugated dirt road. This may have caused the instrument cluster to sag or increased the amount of play in the mounting. In any case Steve has done the right thing, and promptly, to a customer who lives a long way away and doesn't even know where he lives
Couldn't ask for much more than that.
Cheers,
