Anyone else notice 2014 CB1100DLX in AZ $10,302

If some guys are getting mid 50's mpg from the 1100 (1140), then I would expect something a bit over 70mpg and possible 75mpg from a FI 550. Make is a 550 4 and now we're talking.

That is a great price, I have bought many Honda parts from them for different bikes and good people to deal with.

If prices are falling then maybe this will be the last year for the CB1100 in the USA. Or maybe it will be like the Fury. Good sales for the first few years until everyone that wanted one got theirs, then it's just imported in fewer numbers and fewer variant/paint choices because they know that it will not be a big seller...

Nah. Honda was at least 5 years behind the curve on the whole chopper thing. This feels different. Triumph has had the Bonneville out for a while and others are trying the old British twin thing, but nobody's doing a UJM inspired bike until now. Most dealers around here only have 2013s in the showroom floor (sometimes sitting next to unsold VFR1200s).

Would be fun to see Honda go lower in displacement and see what happens. Anybody up for a CB550 (retro fun and 65 mpg?) CB750?

I so wanted a CB500 when they first came out in around 1973, but I'm not quite so sure I'd want to back to the smaller bike—at this stage anyway. In the future when the weight of the 1100 starts getting a bit much who could say. It'd be great if they re-released both the CB500 (or 550) and the CB750.

Was thinking I4 for both the 550 and 750. You could shave weight on the 550 by designing the engine as a stressed member.

They list two bikes. I haven't been able to get a CB1100 yet. Retired, saving up and sold my Nighthawk. I really love the new 2014 changes. (each change only perfected this already beautiful bike) I started looking around to see if discounts have started yet. I spotted this on cycle trader and verified it at this dealers' website. Things are looking better all the time price wise.
I have no affiliation with this desert dealer ....as I live down on the bayou, Che'.

I purchased both of my bikes from Western Honda. However, the sales staff that I dealt with has been let go, which, IMO, wasn't that big of a loss.

Love the CT70 in your avatar. I rode a red one when I was a kid. My dad is currently putting it back in running order.

call to see if they have rebate from honda, quote out of the door is $12K and I have to register again in CA. Not as good deal as it seems. my dealer in SD gives me a quote of $12.5K OTD

I have purchased over 20 bikes from Western Honda, the first in 1969. I will never buy another bike or part from them. I don't do my service work there anymore either. The current owner is the son in law of the original owner and he's a real patsy who is scared to death of his own employees. I sat in his office while one of his managers told him how the cow was going to eat the cabbage and then just walked out. Rude dismissive employees are the norm at Western Honda now. They are caustic to customers because they can be caustic to the owner without sanction. I have probably been that stores best long term customer over the last 45 years and they had to work at it to drive me away. I bought a brand new motorcycle for my son Charley 4 days ago and I drove past Western Honda down to Chandler AZ to buy it.

Western Honda has been awful these last few years. I'll return someday if there is a new owner who has some notion of reasonable customer service. Buyer beware of that place. All the best.

Their FB page seems to have a lot of comments from satisfied buyers in the past year. I haven't been back since I bought my CB1100, while the old sales manager was still there, so I have no idea how it is now. However the old sales manager I thought was lacking in customer service skills. I usually had to beg to talk to a sales person.

I only ever bought one part from the parts/service area (screws for my battery terminal for which I paid double the going Internet rate), and had my tires changed there once... they put on valves that I guess I was a little too general in specifying because they were not the ones I wanted, and they scratched my wheels. I get my tires changes at Kelly's Kawasaki now, they're fast and it's half the price Western Honda charged me.

Oddly enough, this is the bike I bought, they may have not taken it off the website but that's the one I bought, that price, that dealership, from them, I live literally across the street lol

That's probably why I had a good experience buying my last two bikes there. I don't have much use for the typical motorcycle sales person. By the time I'm ready to walk into the store, I know more about the bike I'm after than the salespeople. All I need is somebody to give me a price and take my money.

Every few years, in the spirit of supporting local business, I give their parts department a try. They've never been either fast or accurate, but the last time (about 3 months ago) was probably my last attempt. They took 10 days longer than an online store to get the parts, then they gave me the wrong parts when I eventually showed up. They're just not worth the hassle anymore.

I do my own wrenching, so I really don't have an interest in their service department.
