I have a god brother who traded in his well used 1000 on a 650 Burgman 3 years ago and he loves it. It's a dry ride with lots of storage and lots of power. I am always surprised when he pours the gas to it and tears down the road. Always a hoot on summer poker runs. He rides everyday in all weather, he feels it's the best commuter ride.

My local dealer: "No 2015 Honda CB1100 in the USA". - I don't think it sold well enough and many were sold at a discount.

Well my 14 EX is staying whatever Honda decide to do in the future. This is the best cruising bike I have ever owned, and definitely the one I most love riding. To me it's understated class, right up my street.

I feel the same about my '13. definitely a keeper. I rode my NT700 only once since I bought the CB. Will probably sell the NT in the spring.

I'm not worried about it being renewed for '15, I have mine and plan on riding it and enjoying the fact that I have one. All vehicles take a dive in resale, this shouldn't bother anyone unless they made a rash purchase on a whim and didn't realize that this isn't a Hayabusa or Goldwing. It took me several years to decide to purchase it, I found the '13 ABS I was wanting and I bought it. Sold my cruiser and after last weeks ride on my friend's paint shaker I came to realize it was the best MC decision I made in quite a few years concerning motorcycles. Zoom Zoom

No disrespect intended to the 1100 but it seems to me that one of the things it can be is a thinking person's cruiser: sustainable ergo's, reliability and excellent visibility. Now with some maturity, that primary visibility desired can be the unobstructed perspective of what lies before: landscape as seen from the road being consumed. The way the bike looks and performs, although quite important, ultimately becomes a secondary consideration. For these folk, the bike can just disappear for extended periods and then come back into consciousness in a very nice way.
Many others who think cruiser think first of the pose and the platform - about image. Sure their rides can be well thought out, artful. But not uncommonly the sensory perspective derives primarily from the machine. Thoughts and sights, pleasant ("good, good, good, good vibrations") and not so much (sore butt, aching back, looking along the gas tank and at the shinies) generally are centered on the bike than with what's different - the details of the changing scenery. Not wrong but another path.
Finally, who wouldn't want more lean angle in their cruiser?
