When will we find out about the 2015 Hondas?
#11
I'm not obsessing over whether Honda will come out with a 2015. I'm perfectly happy with my '13 and nothing they can change on any possible '15 model will make me part with an additional $5 or $6K just to upgrade.

Part of me hopes they don't continue the model so ours become a rarity as time goes by. But I believe they wouldn't have gone to all the bother of putting together the "making of" story on their website just this August and kill that very model a couple months later.

Last year we had confirmation with pictures that the 14 was coming for sure, this was at the very end of december, that's when I decided that I wanted the 13, which my dealer had in stock, they was closed from x-mas till after new years day, I bought mine on january 4th, so I'm assuming that we will find out if we get a 15 and what changes they might have done, I would like the 14 with spoke wheels for my perfect bike, I will not sell my 13, I like it way to much with the minor modification that I made, Chip Beck corbin, matching side panels, CB 500 mirrors, modifying the license plate bracket, and of course RLET'S, in a weird way I hope they don't come out with spokes so I won't be compelled to buy it and save me a lot of money.

He actually sold the new NM4 as soon as it came in. Another local dealer cannot give away his '13 CB1000R and his '13 CB1100 sits there as well. The only motorcycles I know that flew out of showrooms were the Yamaha FZ09 and FZ07. Vstrom 650 sold pretty well. I've seen a few Ninja 650R's on the road. Tons of Harleys.

My dealer had a 2014 on the floor since late winter/early spring. I was lucky that living in a smaller rural area this bike didn't appeal to many enough to purchase. The dealer told me there would be no discounts or rebates on the bike- however an end of season rebate combined with a huge discount off list meant the wait was rewarded for me with an incredible deal.
My dealer told me the bike would be discontinued in Canada for 2015 (which is why they unloaded it at an amazing price) - but I suspect that is their best guess and is not actually factual at this point.
If it is discontinued -I see this bike becoming a collectors item and the value of the bike should hold or even increase over time.
Either way as a CB11 owner-its all good as long as your lucky enough to have one these beautiful machines.
As far as improvement with a new 2015 model? hard to improve on perfection-but maybe spoke wheels-not that that would be an improvement necessarily?
I Love my machine as is.

I don't think there is going to be a 2015.

Agreed. I figure our bikes will be much like the little GB500. Not many cared when it was new, but find one now for less than an arm and a leg.

By the time mine is old enough to be collectible, it will have so many miles on it, it will probably render it worthless lol

Looking into the Forum's very own crystal ball, I can see that the CB1100 will come to us in 2015 with a new array of options and accessories including items such as spoked wheels for those who so desire, tank-color-matching hard luggage, a variety of retro-licious styling options like a factory sissy bar, high rise handlebars and a limited edition Windjammer designed for the CB1100 by a resurrected Vetter Fairing Company. Whoa, there's more... The Standard and Deluxe versions will be joined by the new CB1100 Scrambler. In addition to a special two-tone paint job, the Scrambler will feature 4 into 2 high pipes and pseudo knobby tires. Prices and further details will be forthcoming.

Hmmm, I can hear the clatter of pins in the background and I'm surrounded by the smell of fried food and aerosol shoe sanitizer. Wait, this isn't a crystal ball... it's dark and has holes in it, whaaat! a bowling ball? Jeez, I must have drifted off yet again while pondering the future of the CB1100. Good to know that I'm not alone. Tongue
