Best header polish?

Just wondering what everyone uses to get the gold off the headers and what they do to keep it off

I am going to try out Yoshimura Stain Magic and see what that does. I have quite a lot of blueing on my headers right next to the head. I have been real pleased with the longevity of Optiglanz. It does a great job removing soiling from headers.

I suspect a lot of the issue is with single wall headers.

Honda Metal Polish is a nice one, you can also use it to polish jewelry. it took me an hr or so to make my Hawk GT exhaust look brand new. I use this polish to polish all metal on the CB1100

As far as just letting them "age as Honda intended", that is like saying you should just let your bike get ever more filthy, never washing it, because that must be what Honda intended given that they didn't design it with auto cleaning paint and chrome!

Oh. This is German. Didn't know, that it still exists. I used it to polish my trombone about 30 years ago.

My header had turned a golden color, which I didn't mind, but I started getting the corrosive rust looking specs all of a sudden at the bend after exiting the head. I used CREST toothpaste on a wet rag and got the results pictured in about 20 minutes. FYI, I just thought I would try it because I use it on my vehicle headlight lens' to polish them clear.

Yep, just let it go. After 50,000kms my CB doesn't look all that bad.
