Was at my dealer (were I purchased my two CB1100s) (their entire stock) picking up the shop manual I ordered and my salesman, Sean, told me that they were getting another 2014 standard. This surprised me because he had previously told me that he did not think they would be getting another.
So, if anyone in the Northern Virginia area is looking for a standard, they may want to give Fredericksburg Motor Sports a call. They were dealing on the ones I bought and I believe that you could get an even better deal now.

That's what the salesman said! Thankfully the meds are working and my "urges" are under control! Not entirely sure if that is a good thing.

There's a new 2014 Black Standard that's advertised for $7,499 again (till end of May) at Morgantown Powersports, Morgantown, WV. Ask for Jim, easy to deal with. It was advertised for that price in February and I was quoted around 8,185 OTD including TTL (6% tax) and Doc fee. Didn't buy it because I found a DLX but it was back up to MSRP after 28 Feb, until now.

Best Standard,
That sounds like a good deal for someone interested in a standard!

Yep...very good deal!
Here in Puget Sound it would take a "very" good negotiator to get the dealer down to $8,500 for a 2013 Std. It could happen, but the salesperson would fight for quite a while to keep the deal above $9,000.
IMHO, of course!

Ride Motorsports in Woodinville, WA had one 2013 standard left at $7500. I passed it over for a used 2013 ABS w/6600 miles for $6900.

I'm talking "out the door" in WA state.
$7,000
425 freight
199 set-up
150 doc fee
150 licensing
740 sales tax
$8,664

Interesting the $425 charge for freight. Not sure how dealers come up with that, but the price for the bike itself is great.

The freight fee is legitimate, but more than Honda charges the dealer. It's probably closer to $275. The '13 STDs are being priced by American Honda at $7,499. Anything less than that is the dealer discounting.
