This round, I am not going to post in the ride report. Yes, I did ride the CB from Indiana; but I do not want to focus so much on the ride in this report, as I do the people.
I would like to say thank you to all those that made the trip. Unfortunately; I personally feel like I missed out on actually meeting some of you there. A few people I was introduced to once in a quick passing and never had the opportunity to say much more than hello. That is a regret; as I really wanted to have time to talk to everyone, but time just passes too quickly. Some had the unfortunate pleasure of actually spending more time with me than others; and for that you’re welcome, to both parties. The rally was only over a few short days, and we were scattered out over a few places. To those that were unable to attend, I am sorry you were not there and we did not get to meet. It really was an enjoyable time spent.
I don’t want to call any one individual out, nor do I want to leave anyone out of my little rambling as I reflect on the days of the 2015 rally. I just want to express, it was just a great time for me, and a lot of fun. Yes Powerdogg, all of it was fun looking back Lol
Some memorable highlights not in a specific order:
Talking with Firecracker..or Butterfly .. or Instigator ? She was very comical.
The look on Pterodactyls face when asked “would you like to ride the Dragon at night?”
Razors cool attitude as everyone (or was it just me) that drooled and complemented over that gorgeous Black Beauty of his.
Ride4Now and offroad4x4 getting the shakes on the Blue Ridge Parkway when the Goldwing and his wife went blazing by as if we were standing still
Watching Ferret show everyone how SCCBrider dances on the motorcycle. Both spectacles were truly epic.
Ole amazing ability to disappear, then reappear coming from another direction a few hours later.
Are you sure Oldman59 wasn’t oldgeezer? I had a hard time comprehending that without my notes. Sorry about that.
Social dinner gathering by the river … at that one resort … Why didn’t everyone want to join in on that one is beyond me. I feel bad everyone else missed out on that one - or both of them. Second is when Ferret and SCCBrider found that dessert.
Everyone working together to line the bikes up to get our first and only large group photo at the IronHorse
Was that SCCBrider that passed us, and where is he going now?
Cormanus reflecting on how Sport bike riders were trying to blend in with the cool CB riders. Was that the first time you were pulled over by the police in the US? You don’t have to answer that. I’m sure our imaginations are better than fiction. If that was the first, then we can all guess what happened during the second. Pterodactyl did a good reenactment of the (possibly) second fairly well already.
Chapomis laughing over Ack posting he could have been a runner for the group.
I honestly look forward to another meet. Thank you everyone.
I’d be curious to hear of others stories and highlights as well. I couldn’t be everywhere and experience everything, so I am sure I missed out on a lot too.
ACK and SCCB would of had a blast !
Riding an unfamiliar rental bike, especially that tall Ducati, I thought you did well.

Chapomis... I felt that I was the slowest... glad you've agreed to wear that banner.

A few gave me the excuse that "it's the strange bike" (thanks Steve and Sparky, ha..got it right dUh) and granted I wasn't really very fond of the MultiStrada,it's a fine machine, but too tall for me. There was one afternoon when I had my game on, and I acually jumped into the front of the pack. I think it was right after lunch at Kat's (very appropriate place to eat for the pack) and I had a great time. I think that was one of the times that Ferret disappeared, he might have been looking for me because I wasn't in the back

Good Lord willing if we have a 2016 rally I'll be there. Enjoyed the food, fellowship, great roads, and meeting some of the finest CB 1100 enthusiasts who share the same passion for this motorcycle as I do. The only change to my plans next year is to arrive a day or two earlier.

I was a member of a Green Bay Packer Fan Club at one time. Our club had 66 season tickets for every home game at Lambeau Field. Well, some of our members drank too much and got kicked out and or arrested at several Packer games. The Packer president threatened too take our tickets back if our club didn't get our act together on Game Day.
Back then the Packers sponsored a motorcycle Ride For Cancer. 2000 bikes. Our little club president thought it would be a good idea for me to participate in this ride for cancer and deliver a $1500 check from our club members to smooth things over with the Packer Brass. Which I dutifully did.
That spoiled riding with others for me. 3 riders did ditch runs and one of them left in a medical helicopter. It was a terrible experience for me to ride with others who had no idea what they were doing. There were many close calls. I swore I would never ride with others again who I did not know and it has kept me alive for many years.
Don't hold it against me it's just how I roll. I am not judging my fellow CB1100 riders in any way shape or form. I am sure most of us are safe and experienced riders.
Man, you know what? That is really cool that you made your way to the rally knowing that group rides aren't your thing and that you'd be spending your riding time a bit differently. A lot of people with similar feelings wouldn't have gone at all.

The tribute to Old F7 at the tree of shame was moving. dUh! excellent job with the mirror and mileage in his honor. Proud to have been a part.

Heard at the highest point on the BRP
"Is it time to go?"
"No, I'm just happy"
"I'm short two" (said this twice lol) BMW guy and SS2wheels the first time and Chapomis and Cormanus the second time .....(and yes I know if I had said I'm short TOO, it would have fit)
"Stay in line and don't pass anybody"
"whaaatttt? I wasn't listening!"

For what it's worth, Chapomis, I thought you deserved an award for sticking to your guns no matter what. I enjoyed riding with you.
