Yeah, I think they are clearing out '13 and '14 inventory. Odd, that the ST1300 is still on the Honda USA website. The last model year was 2012 so I doubt there is any "new" inventory left to clear out.

On the ST board they say Honda still has some in the warehouse. Supposedly they can be had for around $11000. I can say my dealer would quote list price first.
Which by the way he did 2 years ago, so I did a fly and ride home for mine.

Honda is still making the CB1100, but not importing it to the US. Or Australia. So they're trying to shift the old inventory. Curious they've decided to renew the import to Canada in 2016.

I think the CB sold well here initially. I know my dealer basically sold out their allotment pre-sale when the bike was announced. I can see there being an appetite for more.
We (Canada) always seem to get an oddly disproportionate number of "higher end" or boutique bikes here, given that our economy and population are smaller than that of California. All the special edition superbikes (Panigale R, R1M, RSV4 RF, etc...) seem to get a disproportionate allotment here too. You see the same pattern with cars.

The answer seems to be "both". The '16 model on the Canadian site is indeed a current year bike. It appears to be similar to the '14 U.S. Standard or '13 Japanese "Black Style" bike, with black fenders and extra graphics. I'd say that the bike's absence from the U.S. website means they're still trying to clear out the stock of '13 and '14 models and won't be selling a '16 model here.
