What motorcycle would you buy next?
I probably won't buy another motorcycle. I like the CB1100 and have grown to hate the BMWs. Wouldn't mind another Sportster, though.

I like all motorcycles, if I was filthy rich I'd have a barn full.

Currently nothing in HD's line-up excites me much, we'll see what they come up with a few yrs from now.

Same here they seem to have discontinued all the models I am interested in, EG Standard, Road King (NOT the "Special"), Super Glide Sport, etc...

I bet ya they'll bring the Road King back, best bike in the Harley line up.

Get a kick out of the special, they black it out, take away the windshield, rear bag guard and front running lights then charge $2,000 more for it.
Yeh I'll pass.
Always liked the SuperGlide.

Me too.... one of the bikes I wish I'd kept, 2004 FXDXI Super Glide Sport

I had 2 Sportsters, a 59 and a 94, (and 3 big twins). None would make my list of top 10 favorite bikes that I have owned.

Nice looking ride, have the same grips on my Low Rider.

Thank you Billie, heated grips? I had to replace the ones on this bike but those worked fine for the 4 more years until I sold it.
The thing is this bike wasn't really great at anything but compared to the Harley's at the time it was pretty good. It never failed me including a 4,000 mile ride out to Colorado and Wyoming and back. It was just one of those bikes than made me smile when riding.

I am still waiting for Honda to build my next bike. I love my 1998 VFR800 (it's the best bike I have ever owned, including my CB1100), but I would like like a VFR1000. I would like a VFR1000 that is of similar weight and size to my VFR800, but with about 50 or 60 more horsepower. It would have to have gear-driven cams, like my 1998, and NOT V-TECH, like my 2002 VFR800. Keep the anti-lock brakes, but get rid of the linked braking system (I have never really found it useful).

I waited with cash in my hand to purchase the Honda VFR1200 (does anyone remember the teaser videos Honda released months before the actual release?), but my heart sank the first time I saw an actual picture of it. I thought at that time the looks might grow on me, eventually, and a superbly performing motorcycle would make up for poor looks. I gave this motorcycle every opportunity to win me over, but this never happened. I purchased every magazine I could find that published any information concerning the new VFR1200, but I never really found anything but mediocre and average, to below-average reviews. If you remember, the VFR750 and VFR800 won multiple Motorcycle of the Year awards and always received rave reviews from almost all motorcycle publications. I wasn't surprised to see two-year-old, brand-new, unsold VFR1200's sitting around on dealer floors.

If Honda never builds my dream bike then maybe I'll eventually be forced to buy something else. But in the mean time, I am happy with my CB1100 and my VFR800, two bikes I will never part with.

New off the showroom floor "unicorn motorcycle" is elusive for most riders.

I suspect it will be that way as manufacturers spend more effort on their coming EV offerings.

I have three bikes currently: cb1100, dr650 and the RE int650. Together, they are very satisfying to own. There's no way I'd buy a fourth, but before trading my KLR650 for the Suzuki DR, I considered a slightly larger adventure / dual purpose bike:

[url=https://www.yamahamotorsports.com/adventure-touring/models/tenere-700]Yamaha Ténéré 700

[url=https://www.bmwmotorcycles.com/en/models/adventure/f850gs-adventure.html]or a BMW F8650 GS Adventure

But...$$$...and I didn't want an expensive adventure bike because if one is overly concerned about keeeping it nice--and I would be if I paid 12-16K for a bike--then better something cheaper to explore on. Plus the electronic features make my head spin.

If I didn't own either of my current classic-genre of bikes, I'd start with a 2023 Kawasaki W800.

Fun to think about.

You have a pretty nice mix pdedse; 2 retros (4 cyl and twin) and a classic Japanese, big bore thumper, dual sport. All air cooled.

That’s nice, I had a Night train in matte silver with the staggered pipes, beautiful bike but I don’t miss the 21 inch front w/single disc.

My buddy has a 2014 low rider with the 19 up front like you w/dual disc and it’s worlds better
