CB DOWN!!!

Glad to hear nobody was seriously hurt. I grew up in Idaho Falls and Rigby. We had a lot of black ice in the fall and in the spring. Not sure what it is about the weather conditions in that part of the country which makes it so prevalent.

Good to see that everyone will b riding again soon.

Glad to hear that no harm was done Thumbs Up
A similar experience happened to me many years ago. I rode into the shadow of a hill, hit some black ice, and down I went.
But no damage to man or machine.

Yikes; glad everyone is okay. Hopefully the bar end screw won't need to be drilled out.

Here in the Northeast I am surprised we don't see more black ice but I am sure it is there in the morning. In the Spring and Fall I am usually not out until the sun's been up for quite some time. But it sure isn't like riding down South. Glad everyone was ok. Bikes can always be fixed as everyone says. My own has had its dibs and dabs here and there. Previous owner replaced the right side cover after dumping it.

How did you and your daughter manage to not crash? You must have had your guardian angels looking over you!

Any accident you make it out of ok is a beautiful thing. Bike Parts can be fixed and replaced...not so easy with there riders as others can unfortunately attest to. Glad your ok. I'm sure you'll get her back to standard soon enough...

Quite a scare! Glad everyone is okay (minus the bruised hip). My only experience on black ice was about 20 years ago when entering the freeway and I hit a patch in the early morning, spinning the 12-passenger van I was driving a complete 360 degrees. Miraculously, I didn't hit anything and no one was around to hit me. After I cleaned my shorts, I continued on my way, a little wiser.
