Traded In Honda
#1
So 2 years ago I trade my 2009 Harley Lowrider for my 2014 Honda CB1100. Now I traded in my CB1100, complete with Windjammer for a 2017 new Lowrider. They gave me $6000 for the Honda. The Lowrider was $15,000 plus all the dealer crap. They are sending the Honda to auction, not sure where. They don't sell used bikes other than Harley's. So someone may get a great deal on the first (documented) new CB with a windjammer installed as well as a few other custom upgrades. Only time will tell. I left zero info with the bike. I really missed my other Harley and the 17 is a little bit nicer. It also has the high output 103/1690cc's. The Lowriders are considered a cruiser but olnly weigh 630 pounds dry. It also has a low center of gravity. And the best part, it has self cancelling turn signals.

U got $6000 for a 2014 abs? How much money in aftermarket parts did you have on that CB?

Dealers will generally not consider add-ons and modifications as something that adds value to a bike when it is traded in.

That's a really good trade-in price for that bike. I would have expected something closer to $4000.

Absolutely they do not. That's why I was curious to know what he had. If he had 12k in spares then 6k would be a fair price

Don't be a stranger, Carguy. Drop in and tell us how you're getting on. Show us some pictures of the new bike and tell us how you like it.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk My bike was a 2014 STD no abs. The fairing install cost me about $600 and about 8 hours of my time. I did have a Corbin seat that I bought new. That was the most expensive thing I bought for the bike.
