Embarrassed to ask...
#1
I bought my 2014 used, since it is the red color, can I assume 100% that it is the deluxe model? I see nothing on any paperwork that says that. I'm still learning here, so bear with me. Thanks

If it is indeed a 2014 and red and you got a North American model, yes, it would be a DLX. Your tank shape (larger), the color of the engine (all silver vs blacked out) are also quick and obvious visual indicators.

I forgot to add that the seat is also different, it has texture (stitched) vs the flat black seat of the standard. I believe for 2014, they only sent DLX version red bikes in the U.S. but I'm giving these other indicators in case you bought a bike with a red tank swap. Please confirm it's a DLX for sure before you order parts.

There are about 30 visual diferences between a 2013 std red and a 14 dlx red, and if it is a 14 the silver motor is a dead give away that it's a deluxe

3 4 into 2 exhaust
4 Chrome waterfall head pipes vs snaky stainless head pipes
5 ABS standard
6 Taller, patterned seat vs plain
7 Polished master cylinder covers for clutch and front brake vs black
8 Chrome bar ends vs black
9 Polished top triple tree vs painted
10 Headlight raised an inch
11 Horns raised an inch
12 Smaller turn signals
13 Front sprocket cover now aluminum instead of plastic
14 Color matched side covers instead of silver
15 Side covers wrap around frame
16 4.6 fuel tank vs 3.9
17 New speedo limited to 120 mph
18 New instruments have different patterned faces
19 Digital gear indicator
20 Fuel computer that tells fuel used, ave mpg, fuel remaining

24 Front forks take different amts of oil in each leg (for some reason but its new for 2014)

27 570 lbs wet dlx vs 540 lbs wet std ( due to ABS, larger fuel tank, 7/10 gallon more fuel, aluminum vs plastic sprocket cover, and extra exhaust pipe = 30 pounds weight difference)
28 6 speed transmission
29 DLX handlebars 1/2" taller
