I like *most* of the style.
As others have said before- that is what makes this bike great. UJM!! Do with it what you want. I love seeing the variety.
BUT-
Quote:be it on track, at Pikes Peak or on a quiet street, it’s clear that this ain’t no show pony.
I disagree- this is more show than go. The fake intake screens on the gas tank scream Fast & Furious Pep Boys peel and stick. Who OK'd that non-sense?
SS braided brake lines were an improvement on cars/bikes from 20+ years ago. 25+ in many cases. Modern brake lines although rubber sheathed to protect from elements, cut them open and you will find are plenty strong enough that the 'flex expansion' benefit of SS braided haven't been anything other than flash and show for a looooong time.
Same goes with his fancy rotors, look at the pad wear on the front rotor- he is using only the inner 75%. Helpful hint- attention to detail and some simple shims to space out the calipers will increase the braking leverage force substantially.
USD forks, the calipers, spoked wheels... none of that is improving anything. All show.
What's with the tiny rear sprocket? What is the gearing? What is the speed he expects to achieve at the power he is making. I've been up Pike's Peak on motorcycle, in automobiles, was stationed at Ft Carson for 4 years which is only a few minutes away. Substantial power loss due to elevation is to be expected. If anything the rear sprocket should be several teeth larger, and the redline increased. He isn't going to be passing 130mph...
Don't get me wrong- the bike looks very cool other than the tank air grates (ugh)... but in reality most of the work and time is a flash in the pan, waste of time and money- and won't help him win any race.
Hello factory cat. How are you choking today?
Strap it to a dyno- even after the cam and pistons. I'll play.
Should I oversaturate some photos and submit them to the same webpage?
Sorry- still in pain, still self medicating with beer.
