Welcome! Glad you found your way home to the Forum. You have a lovely motorcycle. Those side covers are very unique. David

The most sophisticated, smooth, perfectly engineered motorcycle I've ever owned. A pleasure in every way.

Welcome back tommymck...such a beautiful bike. Perhaps you shared the details at the other site, but maybe bears repeating here: the tank and side covers?

Welcome back. Beautiful bike, Tommymck
There's a difference in riding a naked bike and riding a bike naked.
Won't make that mistake again. 2013 Honda CB1100 Standard. Gone, but not forgotten.

Thanks for the welcomes evevrybody. Regarding the tank and side covers, they are the whitehouse kit purchased on Samurider. This got me to looking to see if they still offer it, and they do. The price is about half of what it was based on the $/yen conversion lately. Anyway, I had a thread here on the topic: https://cb1100forum.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=4659 The reader's digest version is that replacing the tank on a 2017 isn't particularly straightforward. Plenty who own 2013s and 2014s will tell you that it is, but it's a different and less convenient design. Also, the 2017 seat doesn't fit with the tank, so you need to replace that with the whitehouse one also.

I thought I remembered a thread; I had forgotten the issue with that little white tab under the tank. Thanks for finding the thread; it's fun to go back nearly 8 years! |
