ProHonda oil HP4S
#1
Have any of you tried this red ProHonda oil HP4S-FullSynthetic 10w30/40? Are there advantages like: Oxidation resistance, Higher film strength, Better flow at low temperatures, les engine noise/knocking, in comparison to the classic mineral ProHonda?

Haven't tried it, I doubt unless you're riding at the track, you really won't see any difference from the GN4 standard mineral oil.
Everyone advertises their oil as better than others.
Actually, the difference is it would make your wallet lighter, so yes, you would go faster.

It was about using synthetic vs mineral, one of the goals being to reduce friction, wear and engine knocking. I would have appreciated an informed opinion, from someone who actually knows about or has used something like this. Appreciating the joke, thanks for an unhelpful post. Btw, the price difference is 2 Eur/liter more... "big" expense.  Rolleyes

Huh
I don't think anyone will be able to give you an informed opinion lol. I think every motorcycle forum debates the oil they run and its all opinion based. I myself, will stick with the mineral based as that's what the engineers at Honda designed the bike to run according to the manual.

Is it on sale by the case? No? Never heard of it.
You know what? I actually would like a pickle.

Wow, at revzilla it is $14.89/qt vs $8.40 for GN4.  But clearly worth it as this reviewer testifies (OP must forgive me as this is another unhelpful post, but maybe worth a laugh).

That review is awesome! Sort of like the one I wrote for the long since forgotten History of Monterey Wax Museum.

I just run motul 7100 10w40, its cheaper than the 10w30 and runs the same. Motul is known for being the absolute pinnacle of oils in high level racing. It costs just 10 bucks more than any other synthetic. Sure there is any other synthetic but motul has a incredibly long history of performance liquids/maintenance products. Amsoil also has a equal reputation and is what my previous owner was using based on the amsoil badges on my cam covers.
