Since last season, I was looking for a heated gear, mostly gloves, but a few times my chest got chilly as well.
Tested variety of battery-operated gloves but all of them had fingers length issue...too long, however some of them were of very good look and quality.
Finally, after some research, I found a battery-operated heated jacket in a store near where I work but due to some issues had to return it.
This time, I found a different local store that had everything I needed and decided to go by 12V, not battery.
The heated gear includes:
* skinny liner that can be used with both of my jackets
* gloves, not perfectly moto but I am OK with it as these fit 85-90% perfect, no bulky fingers ...
* independent, two-channel temp control, SAE adapter harness+++ , all plug N play.

If this set up works for me, I will extend my moto season by at least one month and it looks like as of next season, I may tailgate our Defender of the Realm...

You will be amazed how these items will elevate your riding enjoyment.
Today was day 275 of riding for me. (Need 25 of the next 53 to make my yearly 300 goal). Used my heated grips for the third time this morning. From what the weather terrorists are telling me, I'll be wearing my Warm n Safe heated jacket liner again starting next week. Snug as a bug I tell ya, and riding the curves with a big ol smile on my face

I've never had a chilly chest while riding in cold weather - and zero heated gear.
My finger tips tend to take the hit. Heated gloves have recently fixed that.
Oh, and the frozen eyeball (about -50C with freeway windchill). No heated gear can fix that, except maybe a heated helmet I suppose.

I have used a heated vest for years and occasional use of some heated glove liners. Nothing better than a run out on a cold dry chilly day and you end up far more focused on the ride than being focused on how cold you are. As you say, perfect for extending the season.
It is most important to have a snug fit with these heated liners. If they are not snug fitting the effectiveness drops exponentially.

...ouch, then in this case, you most likely had a cold breast

Yes, it has a snug fit, and tomorrow is my first day to test it!

Test 1
Today, I went for a longer spin/294 mile to test my newly bought heated gear.
"Unfortunately," the weather was not cooperating due to unusually hi 17C/63F temp for this season, so I could only set the inner liner at heat-1, no heated gloves needed. Would be OK without any heat as well.
The liner worked fantastically, felt warmth everywhere, neck, upper-middle-lower back, chest and both arms. Staying warm creates faster blood circulation, so even my legs, bum and hands stayed very warm.
BIG difference with or without heated gear, when needed.
Very happy with the purchase.
Awaiting cooler days, but I am very sure, I will not be disappointed, cos the liner and gloves have 6 heat setting, each and independently.

Today was a cooler day, 14C/57F so had my heat set at 2-3, but when coming back home the temp suddenly dropped down to 8C/46F with rain and fog, so I had to crank it up to 4, while wearing my rain gear.
These setting are for my warmer jacket but without its original liner that I removed to accommodate the heated liner.
For colder days, my jacket with its liner will be used simultaneously with the heated liner, so the heat setting might be 1 steps lower, I guess?
