It's sounds like there were some very colorful words spoken by each other in the after the race meeting according to the article, sure wish I was a fly on the wall, might of learned a new one or two. I need to reread that article, I'm thinking Rossi might have been wronged on this or a least a shared responsibility with Marquez?

The Motomatters article seems, at least to me, balanced. The thing that sticks in my craw is Rossi's clearly inappropriate (and illegal) action being regarded as appropriate. To quote Motomatters, "He had not been trying deliberately to make Márquez crash, Rossi said. But it was equally clear that it was an inevitable consequence of his actions". If Dorna approves of this for commercial advantage, as some suggest, it is the first step upon their primrose path to perdition. We may well look forward to a two wheeled Thunderdome with the howling masses showing little interest in real motorcycle racing. Clearly, there are some who enjoy that form of entertainment.
An Italian article defending Rossi? No surprise there. In saying that I refer to comments made by Cormanus regarding the poor behaviour of some elite athletes and the tolerance often shown to that behaviour. It's not an exclusively Italian disease. In our own little backwater downunder we aren't immune to this spreading canker. For instance, judging by a good proportion of social media opinion, as well as some of the fringe dwellers of mainstream journalism, a number of our countrymen approve of the behaviour displayed by a couple of our young Aussi tennis players. I may be old fashioned but their antics make me ashamed to be Australian. No, I've got that wrong. Their antics make me ashamed that they are Australian. If Valencia provides Rossi, or Lorenzo, with a World Championship attained by hard, fair and no quarter given riding by all competitors then that will be as good as it can get. Bring it on. Cheers

Valentino has filed an appeal with a decision due from the FIM by the Saturday of race weekend. He's asking for an annulment or reduction in the penalty and he's also asking for a stay of the decision. Dropping one point would prevent him front starting last. What are the odds he'll gain relief?
