Visited this location on a recent trip to Maine. Met the owner’s son, Ken Jr., who gave us a museum tour. Top notch. eBay rating is 100% positive @ 7,832 feedback posts. ![[Image: af4410b0b03be25b3407d2abe90a9650.png]](https://cb1100forum.net/forum/uploads/imp/201907/af4410b0b03be25b3407d2abe90a9650.png)

Wow! That's MINE ( from 1972).
Hmmm...not a bad price, plus shipping to UK, sell CB110 AND Beemer...

AFter riding a buddies nice '77-79 Goldwing I decided my glass were rose coloured and that my CB1100 was a much better choice. I do like looking at the old iron; but I have enough fun keeping my old "classic" body in good working order - don't need the added stress of old iron.

It's kinda sad, isn't it? I've been betrayed by my rose-colored goggles on several occasions. Were those 70's bikes really that bad when they were new, or are they simply worn out and we've become spoiled by current technology? I'd like to think it's the latter.
None of the 70's bikes that I owned in the past ten years were enjoyable to ride (1970 CB750, 1973 RD350 (not RD400 - no such thing in 1973), 1980 KZ440), and my friend's 1973 Z1 900 was a nightmare.

Arguably, that perception scales to automobiles of the same era and now.
Example: When was the last time you had to worry whether or not your driver's door was going to close properly? There were some pretty big doors on those '70's 'merican two door cars.

Actually, John, that could work. You're a beefier, younger guy than me and your left arm could be retrained, I'm sure - there's probably a Government course for just that somewhere!
You don't have tattoos, do you? Deal-breaker...

I wonder what it would be like to ride a Vincent in top form? My rose-colored glasses want to think it would be generally great with the exception of brakes.
