I bought the Deluxe seat not knowing if it would fit or not and well,it does go on the bike but the back of the seat sits on the back edge of the grab rail and the angle is off so I’m making new brackets to get the grab rails to work with the new seat. I wanted an RS seat but that way too much of a gamble not knowing whether or not it would work. It’s odd that Honda would change the grab rail brackets between the Deluxe and Standard.

Peter i had a very brief feel of the dl seat compared with the standard which i have, it did feel more comfortable but it does ( not surprisingly ) sit you a bit higher on the bike, not the same for the rs seat, that felt about the same firmness but it looks as if it is not as easy to keep clean.

Max, I easy do 300 km nonstop with my standard, and I put on my seat a heavy cotton white towel..When doing long distance/multi days trips, after 600-1200 km/day a feel a little pinch in my a.., that usually disappears the next day. Given all the info, I will stay with my present seat. Thanks.

It's funny, but I think when I got my DLX in 2014 I mentioned here that I thought the seat on my 2013 was a bit more comfortable. Maybe I was just used to the 13 seat then.

The price was about $275. As stated the brackets for the Deluxe grab bars are different putting the grab bars for the Standard in a different position. The Deluxe seat will will go on the Standard but the back of the seat sits on the rear of the grab bars. I haven’t ridden the he bike yet,I need to make some brackets to reposition the grab bars.
