Awesome, Ferret. I don't know if I'm more impressed by the 18 year streak or the fact that you kept track of it all that time. LOL

I was just re-reading this thread because I will be starting a 2021 "resolution" thread in the next week or so.
I found this quote in Post #2 (If he had only known.....) (12-13-2019, 09:12 AM)The ferret_imp Wrote: 2020 is going to be unusal for me. Due to the medical issues I have had in 2019 ( and continue to battle) which forced me to miss 53 days of riding (vs the 12 snow/ice related days missed and the 3 rain related days missed) and causing me to miss meeting my yearly goal of 300 days riding per year in 2019, I have decided for the first time in many, many years not to set any goals, either for days ridden or mileage for 2020. Further I am not going to plan any trips or rallies at this time.

2020 mileage stands at 15,050 as of 5:00pm yesterday. Goal achieved.
Will head out in a few minutes to start Riding Day #176. Will need 7 more riding days in December to knock off my last attainable goal of the year.

My only 2020 riding goal was the same as always - ride to work every day that it's possible. Commuting in a car sucks the life out of me.
Considering that one of my two jobs has been closed since March, it's been an easier goal to attain than normal.

Ever since I started riding, well, let's say - ever since I've gotten serious about motorcycles, i have had the same goals:
#1 to not die in a motorcycle accident #2 to not let my bike die #3 to be a better rider than I was yesterday I will stick to these goals, even though they may not be riding goals, they are riders goals. I believe that I can check them all off for 2020, and next year we will see. I'll take suggestions for some more goals if you have any '14 CB1100 STD 5 speed

Those are prudent goals Tod.
A constant goal for me is to continually connect with a ride in such a way that strokes some sort of emotional value. There are some days when a ride feels soulless. Maybe it related to too much traffic congestion, or too much heat/dust/humidity, or too much rain, or one too many selfish drivers, or you just couldn't get enough of the right shift points in the way you wanted. Point is: May the next time feel better.
