Not sure how Australia’s economy is doing but I suspect those numbers will look a little better when the 4th quarter (encompassing the traditional holiday shopping season) is figured in.

Not sure, Frulk. My view is that Australia’s economy is fragile and people aren’t buying.

A few of my daytime acquaintances expressed buying a motorcycle, but being first time riders, they were sticker shocked at the insurance premium and shied away.
Example: A nube 20 year-old male first time rider said he would pay $3000 Cdn insurance premium on a 2018 Triumph Street Triple for the first year. That was the lowest quote.

Well. Insurance Rates are all based on statistics relevant to age groups. Lots of 20yr olds doing stupid stuff thinking they’re bullet proof and all. Eventually arthritis, disc and macular degeneration, receding hair line, knee and hip pain, and a chronic disease or two will convince them otherwise.
