Why not just strip the black paint off of your existing wheels and repaint them?

Whats too say the bearing dia innthe wheel isnt the same ? I have cbr 900 rear wheel and a cbr600 f3 wheel onnmy 599 both wheels had diff size axles i used bearings and spacers for the 599 i bet the 1100 is the same way
Also its not impossible to measure and fit correct bearings for your axle
My plan is too chrome a set of 1100 wheels their easy too keep clean

after researching i am correcting what i said they do not make a 20x47x12 bearing thats sealed to convert the rear '13 too a '14 size you would have to swap axle and possibly swing arm
but i will still chrome a set of 14 wheels

Yeah, they changed a lot on the bike from 13 to 14. They look very similar, and many parts do interchange, but not the wheels (easily) or anything associated with them.

I've been in the parts game for a long time and try my best to do my due diligence before I post about interchangeability on anything. I have been bitten HARD by that bug and I try and have all of the correct information before I post.

Sometimes it's a simple thing to swap parts, sometimes, not so much.

I'm eager to see how chrome alloys look on one of these. I hope they come out looking awesome!

I know exactly how you feel , I did not like the "black" wheels on my 2013 and even bought all silver wheels for that bike from Samurider but when my 2014 DLX came with all silver wheels I never installed the silver wheels on the 2013 and they are still in the box!

We all want to see these, Houtman! Clap

The usual deal is still available. Big Grin

Thank you George , if anyone is interested buying a set of "silver " wheels for a 2013 I could take pictures and send them directly or to be Posted by our friend in Australia .

But when I see a car or bike with plain silver wheels its usually the cheap base model and that's what I assimilate with the color I think. It looks like they were saving money and didn't put nicer color scheme into the wheels to me.

Might be because I'm on the young side for this forum?

Maybe Batman ruined it for me lol?

But the more black the better IMO. Nothing po's me off more then a plain silver motor and casings. Had my 1981 440 motor and cases painted black for that exact reason.

I think black rims with black spokes looks incredible.
I think black rims with black spokes looks incredible. No age shaming here, but also being on the "younger" side (late 30's) for this forum, might be the reason for the difference in taste. My 67 VW Baja I build at 16 had every piece of chrome the engine bay could fit, but I just fell out of love with it after that car. On a bike, I'd prefer to let the design do the attention grabbing instead of a bit of shiny metal like a fishing spoon lure. The matte black look has always caught my eye faster than chrome personally, but I definitely have no dislike for chrome.

My favorite wheels are the 2013 black spokes with polished rims. Rims easy to clean and spokes don't show the grime. Thank God we're over the white-wheel era of the '90s. I have the 2014 Deluxe wheels on my 2017EX, and they are nice, but looking for an excuse to paint the spokes.
I had an all-black 2014, but never warmed up to it because of its appearance. All-black bikes come from the factory because it is cheaper, and it hides imperfections and design flaws. The same reasons customizers have.
To me, some contrasting chrome bling tells me that it wasn't all done to be cheap.

All this talk about black wheels, and no one mentions the ugly half silver, half black engine on the EX? I think the reason Honda did half in black is because they bungled the number of bottom and top halfs in 2014, and had to use the black bottoms not to lose all that money. Why didn't they just make it all silver like the DLX? I think the EX is a beautiful bike in spike of the mixed engine colors, but the DLX does have the EX beat in the looks department. PS....Also I do not really like spoked wheels either......

I always thought the 2013 European model with silver engine, silver alloy wheels, and silver side cover was the best-looking version of the CB1100.

It could be dressed up with some DLX and EX items and be perfect from my point of view.

I like the all silver lump. The all black lump was so well done during my experience that it won me over too.

I think the CB1100 with its four glorious header pipes should have never been released in naked stainless steel.

My favorite combo was my 2013 with 2014 black bodywork and mostly black engine. Only wished it had the 6-speed.
