Yeah, the Vic doesn’t move much. That’s our municipal recreation center in the background, which I think has been shuttered since the pandemic, and I think their staff used the car. The F150s like the one in the background is more common. Not much roadkill in the city, but there’s a river behind the recreation center, and they periodically fish out old shopping carts, mattresses and whatever flotsam makes it’s way down there.

That, ... is so sad.

Maybe it just takes one person and then everybody thinks it is okay to follow.

In years past someone dumped trash at the base of somebody's home property driveway. Before you knew it, everyone was dumping there.

Zombie herd.

Well, I'm not finding many exciting vehicles. I pass a city yard on my way to work, usually filled with interesting pieces of equipment, like Dr. Seuss-looking sewage vacuum trucks and such. But, it's been empty other than a few generator trailers.

Last night I was enjoying some David Bowie in my earbuds on the way home, when my wife's text tone interrupted the music repeatedly. I pulled over to see what was so important, and read my instructions to pick up the dinner she had ordered on the way home.

I had pulled into a parking lot behind our City Hall building, and was looking at this herd of city cars, so I snapped a pic. The parking spaces for the cars my headlight is pointed at say "DWP".

So, I guess if you ignore your water bill in my town, expect a knock on the door from someone in a Ford Explorer.

What was for dinner and how did you carry it home? Rear top box? Did it slosh or roll around / tip over?

My wife had just received her second COVID shot the day before, and it took her down hard. Her favorite "I don't feel well" food is a local Chinese restuarant called Asia Star. As with most Chinese takeout restaurants, all of the food boxes were expertly stacked and tied tightly together in a plastic bag. It fit nicely in my Givi top box, and I think I could have been rearended by a truck and not have disturbed the contents.

Sounds like you are being a swell partner. Best wishes for her!

(+1) on the Chinese din-din.

Thanks, Gold. The second shot was a kicker for her, but she was quite a bit better yesterday. She may be transitioning to a vaccination center, so she’ll need any protection she can get.

And, when she sends me on dinner pick-up duty knowing I’m on the bike, she’s careful not to order anything that’s a potential spill hazard. No soup this time!

Excellent to read 60.

My wife had her two shots and no problems at all with any side effects , I will get mine down the road when Asheville has more vaccines coming in. As a non working, social security sucking citizen I am one of the last they worry about.....
