This was an easy one for me so I will defer to the next person to post if mine is first. Ulysses S Grant's Birthplace is about 9 miles from my house, although on today's 50 degrees and sunshiny day I took 53 miles to get there and back lol. Ulysses S Grant was a Commanding General in the US Civil War on the Northern side and became 18th President of the United States. Hard to believe someone from a small and insignificant place as Point Pleasant Ohio could go on to become President of the United States..and he wasn't even a billionaire lol, in fact his family was very poor. He didn't have a single television ad. Local guy makes good!

I was going to contribute to the contest during my Omega Man ride yesterday. There's a big statue at the entrance to Chapman College to... whomever's statue is at the entrance to Chapman College. But, all entrances to the school were coned off.
