Hey that's my old neighborhood. I lived a few blocks from Sheridan Rd. in Wilmette back in the 60s.

Was touring the countryside and its small towns again today ... nothing as impressive as Whoville ... but one of my neighbors went all out on the inflatables this year.

Not a great pic, but it cost me a scratched muffler so might as well post it ... Undecided

Came to a stop in front of the house a little too abruptly on the angled pavement ... the rebound overcame me and the bike angled to the right beyond the capabilities of my upper body strength. Had to let it go a few inches above the pavement. Thank goodness for the crash bars around the engine though!

It's not too bad. Looks like a barcode etched in metal.

ahh nuts. That's a shame.

I know that feeling though. My FJR took a dirt nap when I couldn't hold it up from falling at a stop too. Did a lot more damage than that lol. Mirror, Fairing, Bar end,saddlebag AND muffler

That is not bad at all ZB. That can maybe storied away as ex-girlfriend's (or wife's?, or whoever ... ) boot slide during passenger dismount. I have seen much of that and justify it as part of the art of riding, whether boots or kissing the ground. Glad it wasn't anything more.
