When Bike Bandit ships you a 17" tire instead of an 18"

This is my first bad experience with them. I am not impressed with their error resolution management.

I've had horrible experience with J&P Cycles selling me things only to then notify me that they are sold out. Horrible!

They are in my DFW area ... I noticed their website said they had one of the fronts I wanted in stock, so wonder if they really did. I didn't pursue them because I would have to pay Texas sales tax AND wait 3+ days for shipping since they don't have a storefront for local pickup, so what's the point?

I'll know to avoid them as well!

Oh well, won’t be buying anything from Bike Bandit anytime soon. I’ve been doing business with the place for years,if I got a sympathetic rep on the phone,no problem. I’ll pay for the tire, send me a return label and I’ll take the time to get it to a shipping facility and refund me the price of the tire once it’s received. But based on their mistake and acting like douche bags? This is how I’ve done it,get somebody on the phone, explain the issue and have them send out a call tag, tire will be on the porch for pick up,buy tire from Bike Bandit competitor. PARTSZILLA,REVZILLA the list for parts distributors goes on. I refuse to do business with somebody that does appreciate my business. Sounds like BIKE BANDIT is circling the drain.

Would you like me to insert “not” between “does” and “appreciate”, FLYTM?

So Saturday July 13 I finally, FINALLY receive the correct front tire. The order for both tires was placed 10 days earlier on the 3rd. My mobile tire guy is coming at 1 p.m. Monday the 15th to put them on.

Then my poor laid-up baby can get back on the road again. Wipe your tears, baby ... it will all be better soon!

At least I got the tire Saturday early enough in the morning to "pretend" my Camry was a motorcycle and take the farm roads up to downtown Denison, Texas and Lake Texoma ... it was windy with some occasional raindrops, so a good day to have windows and a roof.

I was also keeping an eye out for old pickups to bookmark for this month's photo challenge ... Big Grin

I'm sticking with Revzilla, Chapmoto, Dennis Kirk from now on! I hope this tread comes up every time someone Googles "Bike Bandit." Tongue

Did you catch yourself trying to do the "motorcycle wave" when seeing a bike coming in the opposite direction?

After riding 3K miles in a couple of weeks back in June, I found myself attempting to do this when I was back home in my truck. Only to have my hand hit the door. Blush

Exactly! Thumbs Up

I also had to keep in mind that I need a LOT more clear road to pass someone.
